    What do I like about Usenet? Well, let’s see. Unlimited downloads. That’s a big one. One flat rate every month that I don’t have to think about. Automatic billing through my Paypal account. Did I mention the price – $10.00 per month? I mean – isn’t that enough? Oh, great access to newsgroups!! And access to older files/contributions that aren’t available through other usenet server services. I mean – hey!! I’m a customer, aren’t I?

    UsenetServer’s retention is amazing. I have been a customer since the average retention of binary files was measured in days; now it is common to find very large posts–complete and intact–that are more than 5 years old.

    I don’t remember the last time any server was unavailable, and on top of that, UsenetServer has provided its excellent VPN service without charge.

    Usenetserver est le prestataire ultime de newsgroup. J’y suis abonné depuis plus de 6 ans et n’ai rencontré que de rares problèmes, qui trouvaient une résolution rapidement. La rétention est longue, les procédures d’inscription et de paiement simples et efficaces. Le débit est quasiment constamment au maxi de celui autorisé par mon FAI ( 18 à 20 M). Cela ne fut pas toujours le cas durant une période et à certaines heures, mais visiblement usenetserver a dû corriger car dorénavant plus de problèmes. J’ai tenté d’arrêter (mon abonnement) car j’avais l’impression de devenir addict !
    J’ai rapidement changé d’avis surtout lorsque usenetserver a assorti ses abonnements d’un accès à un VPN. Je me suis aussitôt réinscrit. Passer par un VPN est devenu très utile, pour ne pas dire indispensable. Celui proposé par usenetserver est efficace, repose sur un réseau important, avec des serveurs dans de nombreux pays. Une petite critique toutefois : le logiciel proposé pour se connecter au vpn n’est pas des plus pratiques.
    Le rapport qualité prix est donc largement satisfaisant. Je ne suis pas habitué à encenser les prestataires, mais mon avis est intéressé : plus usenetserver comptera d’abonnés, plus ils pourront continuer à investir afin de nous offrir encore plus de performances et de services !!

    About 3.5 years ago I switched from a different usenet host to UsenetServer.com because of reliability and retention issues. I haven’t once considered switching back. UsenetServer has been fast, reliable, and the retention time is amazing.

    UsenetServer is simply the best. No two ways about it.

    I am a UsenetServer user since the beginning of this year and I love it, I find all that I need.
    At the beginning I did have a problem with VPN software that didn’t connect but technical support help me to find a solution to my problem and now it’s working.
    I hope that a VPN software update come soon because there is a bug with Windows 8.1 that I have to open Network and Sharing center so the VPS software can connect.

    I switched to UsenetServer several years ago, when Verizon lobotomized their news server. I find UsenetServer to be fast and reliable, and with excellent retention. In fact, UsenetServer has gotten better at completion of posts, and their retention has gotten longer, while (I’m told) some other servers have become less reliable. Way to go UsenetServer!

    UsenetServer works great, my line capacity is fully used 200Mb/s with only 10 of the 20 lines!
    and I comes with a VPN server which is very good to have when I’m in China. 🙂

    Better retention than my local ISP and, in a scary twist, almost 10 times the speed of my local ISP who is not more than 5 miles from my door. UsenetServer treats me better as a customer than my local provider. Why wouldn’t I have an account?

    I’ve been a happy customer of Usenetserver server’s service for 3 years now. I find that the servers are 100% available, and that I get excellent throughput, excellent coverage of multi-part posts and great group coverage. Now that I have fibre I can really take advantage of the download speed – gone are the old days of the 1980s with dial up modems and UUCP and uucico! Whenever I contacted customer support, I have always had a swift, courteous and above all effective handing of my question. Keep it up!

    Of all the Usenet companies I hear about the one that continues to satisfy my needs is Usenetserver. Many of the others have had user comments like “no longer on server” or “incomplete listing” when they comment but I get better than average downloads compared so most of the other guys out there. This was my first choice for server and I’m still happy with the service I receive, win or not!

    Was using (the G* service) but thought we’d try UsenetServer because it seemed to offer us at least as good a service at less cost.
    As seniors we’ve got to watch every penny.
    This is our 3rd year and we have ZERO negative things to say about your service. We’re Canadian and even though the annual $95 rate now is costing us $125, it’s still an expense we can accept.
    We also subscribe to the Internet Search function which is really helpful when looking for stuff from yesteryear.
    We long for the day when our ISP decides to put a little life into our broadband speed. We like to live in rural areas. Our last one limited us to DIALUP modem speeds. These day’s we’ve improved to DSL – a whopping 250Mb/s – but no matter – UsenetServer is always there when we power up in the mornings.
    All in all, a terrific service. Thank you.

    My favorite parts of UsenetServer are its reliability and ease of use. I set up my account about a year and a half ago and was using the service in 10-15 minutes. Since then, I have enjoyed a consistent, reliable usenet connection at a reasonable price. Before noticing this email, I can’t tell you the last time that I thought about my usenet connection (If my internet works, my usenet connection is working). I love that I have been able to set things up and literally forget about it. That’s quality service from an internet company.

    UP0dn0 here. I don’t spend much time at the website of products that work. No complaints, no see me. Given my personality, that’s probably the greatest gift I have to offer. But seriously folks, I did the due diligence before sending my money over the internet to this company, far, far away in a foreign land. And outside of re-upping a week or two (or in one case, a month) before my yearly dues were due, it is the last time I’ve even visited the website.

    I haven’t researched pricing since them. Maybe there IS a cheaper alternative out there. But why risk peace of mind over pennies?     Just about every service/device/application I use on a daily basis consistently disappoints me because they hardly ever work ‘as advertised’ and end up being more trouble then they are worth. UsenetServer works as advertised and performs like a light switch. I don’t even thing about it.. I just throw the switch and the lights always come on. Having a service like that for short $$ is a blessing in a world where everything ‘almost’ works, leaving you to wonder what the hell you are paying for anyway..

    to testify from at least 2 years of subscription with UsenetServer, I never faced a long downtime of services, and the only time I face an issue the support helped me by answering my email with the solution (problem with my account) within 12h.
    Also since I get high speed fiber Internet access I can tell the speed of the download is fast (using the 20 simultaneous connections, and a SSD drive for download temporary directory) !
    – from November 2013 to January 2015 my provider maximum bandwidth measured was 35MB/s and download where regularly from 22 to 26MB/s with few times some pick to 33MB/s
    – Since new provider in Feb 2015 that provide me a bandwidth measured from my (unchanged) PC around 93MB/s at rushing hours and up to 106MB/s outside of rushing hours, most of the time download is around 25MB/s up to 34MB/s, and I already had a download speed up to 50MB/s. So that’s quit fast !

    So fully happy with UsenetServer, especially as that comes up with SSL connection and the service of the VPN with a so large range of possible servers.
